All Systems Go

I received a letter confirming that I'm still part of the Mabuhay Guides and that our group shall continue as a foundation/corporation. I really don't know what's in store for us but I hope that it would lead to more guiding assignments, language courses (Spanish or German), and in-depth training.


All I know is that I want to be gainfully employed while pursuing my passion. It's like being a professional basketball player or a hit-making artist/musician. Instead of playing in front of millions or performing a difficult routine, I'll be doing a little bit of both but in front of a small group. It is a job of an ambassador, a host, a butler, a concierge, a coordinator; it's a job of a tourist guide.

I'm also opening possibilities as a contributing writer to a travel magazine/web site. Why? I just want to write. I think that I have the chops for it. All these ideas in my head that prevent me from going to sleep needs to be put down online or on paper.

I haven't been getting tours lately and it's taking a toll on my creativity. I need an avenue where I can express myself, a space where I can put down my views on materials that I've read. Writing might be a worthwhile exercise and it would help in augmenting my income to pay the bills.
