Renewal

I paid a visit today at the office of the Department of Tourism (DOT) to pick up my accreditation papers as a tourist guide. We have to renew this document every year.

It's the first day of July and it also felt like it's the first day of classes. We have a new president, which also means that we have a new DOT secretary.

Bertie Lim takes over the reins of the tourism department. No doubt that Secretary Lim is qualified for the job having played a significant part in developing El Nido.

I would have liked to see Ace Durano continue given his exceptional performance but no go. It's part of the plan of President Aquino that we must follow and respect. I hope that Secretary Lim will do a better job. He can be sure that he can count on us.
